mGluR3

Metabotropic glutamate receptor 3

Pathway Information

Metabotropic glutamate receptor 3 (mGluR3/mGlu3) is part of a larger family of eight metabotropic receptors mGluR1-8 [1]. These eight receptors are classed generically into three groups, however the groups are not indicative of similar function (as discussed later). mGluR3 is part of "Group II" alongside mGluR2. Through available literature, mGluR3 seems one of the most attractive of the receptors to modulate.
